After you apply, a Customer Service Representative will contact you at the daytime phone number provided. If your request is received before 3:30 p.m. and a meter is already in place, we will make every effort to provide same-day service.

Natural Gas Installation Process

Here’s what to expect when bringing natural gas to your home:

1. Check Availability

YCNGA serves York County, SC and the Blacksburg area of Cherokee County, SC. Not sure if service is available at your home? Call us at 803-323-5304.

2. Apply for Service

Submit an online application or visit our Customer Service Center at 965 West Main St., Rock Hill. Once received, a representative will contact you to set up your account. A credit check will be completed and a deposit may be required.

3. Service line installation

YCNGA will install a service line from the street to your home (up to 300 feet at no cost) when you install both central heating and water heating. Additional fees may apply. We will restore the area and re-seed landscaping as needed.

4. Interior gas piping

You or a licensed contractor will install interior gas piping and connect appliances. Your contractor may also handle appliance conversion.

5. Permits and inspection

Your contractor will obtain required permits and schedule inspections with your local city or county inspection department.

6. Meter installation

Once inspections are approved, contact us at 803-323-5304 to schedule your meter set and activation.

7. Appliance start-up

After the meter is activated, your contractor will return to ensure all appliances are operating safely and correctly.
