Residential Rates

The following rates are available to all residential customers serviceable within YCNGA’s service area.

Preferred Residential (Rate 10)

Applicability & Minimum Consumption Charge
This rate applies to residential customers who use natural gas throughout the year. Common year-round uses include water heating, cooking, and clothes drying.

This rate includes a minimum monthly usage of 9 therms. If you use fewer than 9 therms during a billing period, your bill will be based on the minimum usage of 9 therms rather than your actual consumption.

General Residential (Rate 20)

Applicability
This rate applies to residential customers who use natural gas on a seasonal basis or who do not qualify for Preferred Residential (Rate 10). If you add natural gas appliances that provide year-round use, please let us know so we can determine whether you qualify for the Residential Year-Round Service rate.

Unmetered Gas Rate (Rate 15)

Commercial Business Rates

Commercial (Rate 40)

Available to all commercial customers serviceable within YCNGA’s service area.

Applicability
This rate applies to commercial customers receiving natural gas service from YCNGA. All applicable sales taxes will be included on your bill.

Public Building: Charitable, Religious, & Educational (Rate 30)

Applicability
This rate is available to eligible organizations within YCNGA's service area that provide governmental, charitable, religious, or educational services. It does not apply to organizations or institutions that operate for profit.

Industrial Business Rates

Small Industrial Firm (Rate 50)

Applicability
This rate is available to qualifying industrial customers within YCNGA's service area who require year-round natural gas service under a minimum 12-month service agreement. It applies to customers with average natural gas usage of less than 10,000 therms per month. Customers who provide the appropriate tax exemption documentation may qualify for sales tax exemption.

Large Industrial Firm (Rate 55)

Applicability
This rate is available to qualifying industrial customers within YCNGA's service area who require year-round natural gas service under a minimum 12-month service agreement. It applies to customers with average natural gas usage of more than 10,000 therms per month. Customers who provide the appropriate tax exemption documentation may qualify for sales tax exemption.

Interruptible Negotiated Rate (60)

Applicability
This rate is available to qualifying industrial customers within YCNGA's service area who enter into a minimum 12-month service agreement. Customers must have an alternate fuel source or be willing to temporarily discontinue natural gas service during periods of curtailment or interruption. Customers who provide the appropriate tax exemption documentation may qualify for sales tax exemption.

CNG Vehicle Rate

Compressed Natural Gas (Rate 80)

A Gasoline Gallon Equivalent (GGE) is a standardized unit of measurement indicating the amount of fuel that equals the energy content of one U.S. gallon of gasoline.

Applicability
This rate applies to customers who use compressed natural gas (CNG) to fuel natural gas-powered vehicles. In addition to the energy charge, applicable federal, state, and local motor fuel taxes will be included as required by law.
